Biography

Saleha is an Associate at S. A. J Legal, having recently graduated with a Bachelors in Law from the University of West London. Meanwhile, she is also pursuing the Solicitors Qualifying Examination to qualify as a solicitor. Her key areas of interest and practice include civil litigation, copyrights, family law and more broadly, private law.

Immigration

During her time at S A J Legal Saleha has been actively involved in handling immigration matters. She specialises in family-based entry clearance and long-residence applications. She boasts experience in contesting Home Office’s decisions with respect to managed hotel quarantines for red-list travellers during the Covid-19 pandemic. Her involvement in these landmark proceedings were not only a great learning curve for her but also of great assistance and significance to the Counsel.

Civil Litigation, Copyrights & Family Law

In addition to her experience in dealing with the red-list cases, pursuing damages’ claims against the Home Office-imposed Covid fines, Saleha is currently working on pre-action litigation to recover damages for the clients who have suffered at the hands of the Home Office. Her other inclinations and expertise include intellectual property laws, patents and trademark. She is also involved in advising clients and drafting pleadings for family matters.

Public Law & Judicial review

Saleha regularly attends the High Court, Upper Tribunal and Court of Appeal, overseeing public law litigation for a wide range of our clients. Saleha has gained extensive experience in lodging judicial review claims against indefinite retention of documents, delay in asylum matters and unlawful detention.
