Mahpara Yasir Qadri

Mahpara is a Paralegal at S A J Legal Solicitors and due to complete her final-year of LLB from the Queen Mary University of London in July 2023. She plans to complete her further education to become a qualified solicitor following her graduation. A Pakistani by origin; Mahpara is a socially aware and active member of the society who believes in giving-back to her people. She has been an activist for the social cause of domestic violence and is working towards eradicating the same by running nation-wide awareness campaign against domestic violence in collaboration with Global Shapers Hub, Karachi, Pakistan. Mahpara is passionately involved in the pursuit of legal justice, and volunteers as a legal research associate for the Legal Aid Bureau – a Pakistani NGO aimed at promoting social justice and safeguarding the rights of the victims of gender-based violence. In doing so, she has assisted on various cases of domestic violence in Pakistan which has been an engaging and enlightening experience. Additionally, during her time at Queen Mary, she has been a Student Mentor and volunteered for the Student’s Union. She has also gained experience at a leading commercial law firm in Pakistan namely Akhund Forbes.
